The cast of It Happened in the Calcutta web series consists of Karan Kundrra and Naghma Rizwan in the lead role. The new web series has been directed by Ken Ghosh. Karan Kundrra will be playing the role of Ronobir Chatterjee with Naghma Rizwan as Kusum. Kutting has kept mum about the rest of the cast which might be revealed during the trailer release. Naghma Rizwan is model-based in Mumbai who was finalized for the role of Kusum after numerous auditions. Karan Kundrra is known to many due to his work in Kitani Mohabbat Hai. From featuring in a web series like Dil Hi Toh Hai and movies like 1921 to hosting Gumrah: End of Innocence, Kutting new web series will be a new turning point.

The romance saga took place when Calcutta was struggling through the cholera epidemic and the war of 1970. Both the leads, Ronobir and Kusum, are medical students, aspiring to be doctors. Ronobir is the arrogant and cocky male lead which obviously catches Kusum’s attention, and a love story begins.
